This Privacy Policy explains how Plena collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the app. Plena is designed as a private, result-focused tool for memorial dates, countdowns, sealed letters, reminders, timelines, and related personal records. We aim to keep user content private and to limit data use to providing and improving the app experience.
By using Plena, you acknowledge that you have read this policy and understand how your information is handled.
Plena is intended for users who are 17 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If we learn that we have collected information from a user under 17, we will take steps to delete it as soon as reasonably possible.
We do NOT sell, rent, or trade user data.
We do NOT share any user-uploaded or user-generated content with any third party.
We do NOT use any third-party AI services to process user data. All AI processing is performed exclusively on our own internal servers.
We may use limited third-party infrastructure providers for cloud storage, server hosting, delivery, or other basic operations. These providers act solely on our behalf and only under our instructions. They are bound by contractual obligations to protect data security and are not permitted to use user data for advertising, profiling, AI training, model optimization, redistribution, or any other purpose outside our instructions. They may not independently access or use user content.
Information you provide: We may collect the content you enter in Plena, such as letter text, opening dates, reminder settings, envelope style selections, reflection notes, optional photos, feedback messages, and support requests. We also collect information you choose to save in your history, archive, or timeline.
Automatically collected information: We may collect device and app information such as device model, operating system version, app version, crash reports, performance data, and usage diagnostics needed to keep the app working reliably.
Cookies and similar technologies: If applicable, we may use cookies or local storage-like technologies in web-based or embedded experiences to remember preferences, maintain sessions, or support basic functionality. These technologies are not used for advertising profiling.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or security improvements. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice in the app or through another reasonable method. Continued use of Plena after an update means you accept the revised policy.
Uploaded content used for processing is deleted after processing is completed, unless you choose to save it in your account history or archive.
Generated results may be stored in your history so you can view, copy, share, or delete them at any time.
Temporary processing data is deleted after completion of the requested operation.
Crash logs are retained for up to 12 months for reliability and debugging purposes.
Support messages and related correspondence are retained for up to 6 months unless a longer period is required to resolve an issue or comply with law.
We use information to provide core app features, generate and store results, support reminders and history views, respond to your requests, maintain security, and improve reliability. We do NOT use your information for advertising, profiling, selling, or third-party AI training. We do NOT use user content to build marketing profiles or to target ads.
All AI processing in Plena occurs on our own internal servers only. We do NOT use third-party AI services to process user data. We do NOT send user content to external model providers. Data used for AI processing is handled only for the purpose of generating the app’s requested output and is deleted after the processing task is completed, unless you choose to save the result in your own history. We do NOT use user data for model training, model optimization, or fine-tuning.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to access your information, correct inaccurate information, delete your data, export your saved content, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Where available, you may manage saved items directly in the app, including deleting history entries, removing uploaded photos, and clearing stored records.
Plena does NOT perform facial recognition, biometric analysis, face template creation, or identity matching. We do NOT use face data to identify, verify, or profile users. If a photo is uploaded for app functionality, it is handled only for the requested feature and is deleted after processing unless you choose to save it in your own content history.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect user information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. These measures may include access controls, encryption in transit where appropriate, server-side protections, logging, and restricted internal access. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to reduce risk and protect user content.
Your information may be processed, stored, or accessed in different regions or countries where we or our infrastructure providers operate. When data is transferred internationally, we take steps intended to protect it according to this policy and applicable legal requirements.
